Dear Parents,

Mrs. Brar is away from Monday May 14 to Wednesday May 16 (returning on Thursday). Ms. Boyko is in for her and I (Mrs. Scherschel) am available if anything comes up! Today we worked our way through some pattern stations! We were challenged to create and extend patterns using shapes, numbers, colours, size, movements and with different instruments. We also worked on finding the core of different patterns. Please ask your child to show share their movement pattern. Ask them about their pattern core and how they can extend the pattern. 

We also learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch today. We learned what it is, the size that it is and where it is located. We were also challenged to reduce the water pollution of our own 'oceans'. Ask your child to share the different ideas their group had for reversing the water pollution.
