Our very observant students noticed that the items were all made of parts of an animal. We discussed how in the past, there was no access to stores where they can buy these items, and that the Blackfoot people, among other indigenous people, would use all parts of certain animals. We also learned that indigenous people use things from the land instead of man-made things like plastic.
